NJ Mahwah Indian Wedding
The Mehendi marked the start of the wedding celebrations, as the bride’s hands and feet were adorned with intricate henna designs. With music, dancing, and plenty of laughter, the celebration was vibrant and full of energy. At the Sangeet that followed, the couple’s families and friends performed dances and skits to show their love and support.
The wedding day began with the Baraat, a joyful and colorful procession in which the groom arrived on horseback, surrounded by dancing family and friends.
The ceremony was held in the hotel’s beautifully decorated ballroom. The mandap, dressed in flowers, crystals, and soft fabrics, created an elegant setting for the vows. The bride and groom looked radiant, and their love for one another was clear as they exchanged garlands and spoke their vows.
During the Kanyadaan, the bride’s father offered his daughter in marriage, and during the Saat Phere, the couple exchanged seven vows symbolizing their devotion to one another. As an Indian wedding photographer, I took care to document every part of the ceremony, from portraits of the couple to the intricate details of the mandap.
Afterward, the newlyweds and their guests moved to the reception, which featured delicious food, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of dancing. With glowing lighting and stylish décor, the ballroom became a warm and inviting party space.
I was able to photograph the couple’s dramatic entrance and their first dance, and the dance floor was packed all night as guests danced to Bollywood and Hollywood hits.
Indian weddings are beautiful celebrations of culture, tradition, and love. This couple’s New Jersey wedding was full of joy and happiness, and it was a privilege to document the moments that made their day so special, creating memories that the couple and their families will treasure forever.
