PRINCETON UNIVERSITY ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Nothing inspires a photographer quite like a beautiful college campus, and Princeton University is one of my favorite places to capture love stories. Set in the charming town of Princeton, New Jersey, the campus is an ideal backdrop for a romantic, timeless engagement session.
Historic Architecture
Princeton’s buildings, from Gothic to modern, are known for their remarkable architecture. Nassau Hall, the oldest building on campus and the heart of the university, is one of my favorite places to shoot. Its grandeur and handsome stonework make a romantic setting for portraits.
Princeton University Chapel
The Chapel’s detailed stonework, stained glass windows, and high ceilings create a dramatic, enchanting backdrop for engagement photos.
Gardens, Walkways, and Tree-Lined Paths
The campus grounds offer endless opportunities for engagement photos. The well-kept gardens, with their colorful flowers and lush greenery, are a lovely setting for intimate portraits, and the tree-lined walkways give your session a classic, romantic feel.
Lake Carnegie
Just beyond campus, Lake Carnegie offers a calm, tranquil backdrop. The lake is popular for boating and fishing, and its views make a peaceful setting for a quiet moment together.
Choosing the Best Time of Day
When planning your session, consider the time of day and the weather. Early morning and late afternoon are generally the best times to photograph on campus, when the sun is softer and the light is gentle and flattering.
Planning Your Princeton Engagement Session
Princeton University captures the essence of classic romance. Whether you’re an alum or simply looking for a beautiful, romantic location for your engagement photos, it is a wonderful choice, and I am always eager to photograph its historic beauty.
